The NHL STREET brings new style, energy, and gameplay to the sport of hockey. We’re creating an affordable, neighborhood-based model that gives kids everywhere an opportunity to learn and play.

The NHL has teamed up with RCX Sports—the leader in youth sports experiences—to bring NHL STREET to life. Designed for kids ages 5 to 14 years old, our youth athletes feel like the pros when they suit up in authentic NHL STREET uniforms to play in high-energy, team-first leagues.

This is a pilot program that will consist of a 5-week league held on Wednesdays, is a 5 vs. 5 with a goalie, recreational, co-ed format. We will try to limit teams to 12 players to maximize playing time. This is an exceptional program for first-time players who want to learn the fundamentals of hockey. There are no tryouts! Everyone participates!

Practices/Games will take place between 4:00 pm - 9:30 pm on Wednesday evenings (subject to change depending on court availability and league size) at Flodin Park in Canton, Michigan. Exact schedules will be created and posted 1-2 weeks prior to the season start date. Practices take place prior to game time each week to ensure a convenient and fun experience for all! Schedule times can vary from week to week.

Participants will receive a reversible NHL Street Hockey Jersey, theirs to keep! In addition, to keep costs down, hockey sticks will be provided to use during gameplay. However, families will have the option to purchase their own sticks during registration should they like to.

Design for girls and boys ages 5 to 14 years old.
Kindergarten thru Third Grade divisions will receive individual participation awards at the end of the season. All divisions Fourth Grade and above will participate in playoff games on the last day of the season - 1st and 2nd place teams only will receive awards!
