2026 Fall Flag Football - Wayne/Westland

The Wayne Westland Community Schools is offering an amazing opportunity this fall as it introduces NFL FLAG into the school district. Any Wayne Westland Community School students entering 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th grade this fall will receive a FREE ENTRY into the Wayne Westland Community School district league. THIS IS AN EXCLUSIVE PROGRAM to just Wayne Westland students from the following elementary schools: Edison, Elliot, Hamilton, Hicks, PD Graham, Roosevelt McGrath, Schweitzer, Taft-Galloway, Walker Winter or Wildwood.

NO ADDITIONAL MERCHANDISE SHOULD BE PURCHASED.

Each elementary school in the Wayne Westland Community Schools will host its own 2nd/3rd grade team and host two 4th/5th-grade teams and will compete against the other elementary schools in the district.

This 6-practice/5-game season held on Saturdays is a 5 vs. 5, non-contact, recreational, co-ed format. We try to limit teams to 10-13 players to maximize playing time. This is an exceptional program for first-time players who want to learn the fundamentals of football. This is also a wonderful opportunity for players who want to continue enhancing their skills before taking the next leap into tackle football.

THERE WILL BE 2 TEAMS PER SCHOOL FOR THE 4/5TH GRADE DIVISION AND ONLY 1 TEAM PER SCHOOL FOR THE 2ND/3RD GRADE DIVISION. SPOTS WILL FILL UP!!!

Games will take place between 10:00am - 2:00pm on Saturday mornings with practices taking place one hour prior to game time each week to ensure a convenient and fun experience for all! Exact schedules will be created and posted 1-2 weeks prior to the season start date. Schedule times can vary from week to week.

Participants will receive an NFL reversible jersey, flag belt, and a mouthguard -theirs to keep! These items will be available for PICKUP at the first day of practice at the field!

There are no try-outs! Everyone participates! PLEASE REGISTER EARLY!

Our program relies on volunteer parents to coach our teams! We encourage all parents interested in volunteering to do so during the registration process. We will provide several resources along with a comprehensive coach meeting to ensure all coaches have a fun and successful season!
